When a fixed amount helps

A fixed amount is useful for a ₹500 class fee, a ₹99 event ticket, or an invoice with one final total. The amount appears in the payment request when a compatible UPI app scans the QR.

When to leave it blank

For a shop counter, freelancer tip, or anything with changing prices, leave the amount empty. The person paying can enter the correct amount in their own app after scanning.

Know the payment limit

Many UPI payments are limited to ₹1,00,000. Your bank, payment app, and payment category can have different limits. This generator warns above that amount instead of blocking you, but your payment app makes the final decision.
