Every QR is checked before you download it
After the QR is drawn, this page decodes the image again and compares the result against what you typed. If it does not read back correctly, the download is blocked and you are told why. A QR that looks fine on screen and fails on a phone is the single most common problem with free QR tools, and it is entirely avoidable.
Nothing is uploaded
The QR is generated by your own browser. Network passwords, phone numbers, and contact details never travel anywhere. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.
That matters most for the WiFi generator. Plenty of online QR tools ask you to type your network password into a form that posts it to a server. There is no reason for that to happen, and no way to know what is kept.
Printing a QR that actually scans
- Print at least 2 cm across for something held in the hand, and much larger for a wall or a counter sign.
- Keep clear white space around all four sides. A QR crowded up against artwork fails more often than a small one.
- Dark pattern on a light background. Inverting it breaks many scanners.
- Use the SVG download for anything going to a printer. It stays sharp at any size.
- Test the printed copy with two different phones before you order a hundred.
